2025 Edward Carlton Holmes Scholarship

Available to students who are registered beneficiaries of the Ngāti Kahungunu Ki Wairarapa Tāmaki Nui ā Rua Post Settlement Governance Entity (PSGE).

The 2025 Edward Carlton Holmes Scholarship aims to support secondary tauira who whakapapa to a hapu or marae of the Wairarapa Tāmaki Nui a Rua Rohe and are registered to the Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Tāmaki Nui-A-Rua Settlement Trust. The recipients of this scholarship will be chosen by Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Tāmaki Nui-A-Rua Settlement Trust.

EligibilityApplicants must:

  1. be of New Zealand Māori descent;
  2. be enrolled at a NZQA recognised secondary school;
  3. be a registered beneficiary of the Ngāti Kahungunu Ki Wairarapa Tāmaki Nui ā Rua Post Settlement Governance Entity (PSGE);
  4. submit the application and supporting documentation on time.

Supporting Information You need to provide:

  1. Whakapapa verification. This will need to show that you are registered with the Ngāti Kahungunu Ki Wairarapa Tāmaki Nui ā Rua Post Settlement Governance Entity (PSGE).
  2. 2025 Enrolment confirmation. This can be a letter from your school, or a 2025 class timetable.
  3. Bank verification of your bank account number. This can be a bank statement or a screenshot of your banking app.
