2025 Kokako Māori Land Trust Scholarship

Available to Māori students who are registered beneficiaries of the Kokako Māori Land Trust.

The aim of the Kokako Māori Land Trust Scholarship is to support undergraduate tauira who are registered beneficiaries of the Kokako Māori Land Trust. Recipients of this scholarship are selected by the Kokako Manaaki Charitable Trust.

NOTE: this scholarship closes earlier than the rest of the scholarships offered.

EligibilityApplicants must:

  1. be of New Zealand Māori descent;
  2. be a registered beneficiry of the Kokako Māori Land Trust;
  3. be attending full-time study for the full year;
  4. submit the application and supporting documentation on time.

Supporting Information You need to provide:

  1. Whakapapa verification. This will need to be completed and verified by the Kokako Māori Land Trust Administrator.
  2. Evidence of your shareholder status (beneficiary or registered owner/descendant of either).
  3. 2025 Enrolment confirmation. This will need to prove that you're undertaking full-time study for the full year.
  4. NSN and student ID number.
  5. Bank verification of your bank account number. This can be a bank statement or a screenshot of your banking app.
  6. Academic transcript. This does not need to be certified.
  7. Curriculum Vitae.
