2025 Norman Kirk Memorial Scholarship

Available to full-time Māori undergraduate students studying at a recognised New Zealand tertiary institute. Priority will be given to students with financial need and academic merit.

The Trust was established in 1976 to commemorate the life of the late Rt. Hon, Norman Kirk, Prime Minister of New Zealand from 1972 to 1974. The Trust’s capital comes from donations made in Norman Kirk’s memory by individuals, and the Governments of New Zealand, Australia, and several South Pacific nations.

The objective of the trust seeks to promote the welfare and progress of the people of New Zealand and the South Pacific, especially those who have the capacity to benefit from further education, study or training, but who need financial assistance in realising their potential.
