2025 Ōtaki and Porirua Trusts Board Secondary Scholarship

Available to beneficiaries registered with the ART Confederation Iwi: Raukawa ki te Tonga, Ngāti Toarangatira or Te Ati Awa ki Whakarongotai.


This scholarship was created by the Ōtaki and Porirua Trusts Board, an entity whose core business is land-based management of lands in Ōtaki and Porirua vested in the Ōtaki and Porirua Trusts Board by the 1943 Act. The aim of this scholarship is to support those in their community who attend secondary school. The recipients for this scholarship are chosen by the Board.

EligibilityApplicants must:

  1. be of New Zealand Māori descent;
  2. be enrolled at a NZQA recognised secondary school;
  3. be a beneficiary registered with the ART Confederation Iwi;
  4. submit the application and supporting documentation on time.

Supporting Information You need to provide:

  1. Whakapapa verification. This will need to show that you are a registered beneficiary with the ART Confederation Iwi.
  2. 2025 Enrolment confirmation. This can be a letter from your school, or a 2025 class timetable.
  3. Bank verification of your bank account number. This can be a bank statement or a screenshot of your banking app.
