Māori Education Trust Boarding Scholarship

Available to 2020 Year 9 – Year 13 Māori students with demonstrated financial need and enrolled at a secondary boarding school.

Māori Education Trust Year 9 Scholarship

Number of recipients: 40

$750

Available to 2020 Year 9 Māori students with demonstrated financial need, who require assistance with education costs.

Māori Education Trust Year 12 and 13 Scholarship

Number of recipients: 50

Available to 2020 Year 12 and 13 Māori students with demonstrated financial need, who require assistance with education costs.

Māori Education Trust Bachelor of Applied Social Work Scholarship

Number of recipients: 4

$1,500

per annum for two years

Available to Māori students enrolled in a Bachelor of Applied Social Work at North Tec: Tai Tokerau Wānanga. Applicants must have completed their first year of study. Priority will be given to students with academic merit and financial need.

Māori Education Trust Bachelor Degree of Medicine and Surgery Scholarship

Number of recipients: 10

$2,500

per annum for four years

Available to Māori undergraduate students who have completed Part II of a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree. Priority will be given to students with academic merit and financial need.

Māori Education Trust Bachelor of Nursing Scholarship

Number of recipients: 12

$1,500

per annum for two years

Available to Māori undergraduate students who have completed their first year of study.  Priority will be given to students enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing Māori and financial need.

Māori Education Trust Bachelor of Nursing Scholarship (Tai Tokerau)

Number of recipients: 6

$1,500

per annum for two years

Available to Māori students who have completed their first year of the Bachelor of Nursing at North Tec: Tai Tokerau Wānanga. Priority will be given to students with financial need.

Māori Education Trust New Zealand Certificate in Commercial Road Transport (Heavy Vehicle Operator) (Level 3) Scholarship

Number of recipients: 12

$750

Available to Māori students who are enrolled in the Heavy Vehicle Operator Certificate (Level 3) at North Tec: Tai Tokerau Wānanga. Priority will be given to students with financial need.

Māori Education Trust Conjoint Degree Scholarship

Number of recipients: 20

$2,000

Available to Māori undergraduate students studying towards a conjoint degree.  Priority will be given to students with academic merit and financial need.

Māori Education Trust Women in Non-Traditional Trades (Level 4) Scholarship

Number of recipients: 6

$1,500

Available to Māori women enrolled in a non-traditional pre-apprenticeship trade programme at Level 4 or above. Applicants must be enrolled in a one-year full-time trade programme with a tertiary provider. Priority will be given to applicants with financial need.

Māori Education Trust Pre-Apprenticeship (Level 4) Scholarship

Number of recipients: 14

$1,500

Available to Māori students enrolled in a pre-apprenticeship trade programme at Level 4 or above. Applicants must be enrolled in one-year full-time trade programme with a tertiary provider. Priority will be given to applicants with financial need.

Māori Education Trust Pūhoro Scholarship

Number of recipients: 20

$1,500

Available to Māori undergraduate students who have progressed through the Palmerston North or Auckland Pūhoro Academy programme and are enrolled in their first year of study at a tertiary institute. Applicants must be enrolled in a minimum of a three-year undergraduate degree. Priority will be given to students will financial need.
