Ngāti Kahungunu ki WairarapaTāmaki Nui-a-Rua Settlement Trust
The Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Tāmaki-nui-a-Rua Settlement Trust was established in December 2010 following extensive consultation with iwi, hapū and marae. The trustees were elected by Ngā Hapū Karanga.
The Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Tāmaki-nui-a-Rua Settlement Trust was established in December 2010 following extensive consultation with iwi, hapū and marae. The trustees were elected by Ngā Hapū Karanga.
The purpose of Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Tāmak-nui-a-Rua Trust is to represent all Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Tāmaki-nui-a-Rua iwi members in negotiating the settlement of our Treaty of Waitangi grievances with the Crown. The Settlement Trust will receive and administer the assets for Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Tāmaki-nui-a-Rua upon completion of our settlement, and will take our people forward on our post-settlement journey. Scholarships
The Ngāti Kahungunu Wairarapa Tāmaki-nui-a-Rua scholarships are open to those who whakapapa to a hapū or marae of the Wairarapa Tāmaki-nui-a-Rua Rohe and are registered to the Ngāti Kahungunu Ki Wairarapa Tāmaki-nui-a-Rua Settlement Trust.
These are open to those at Secondary, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate study levels.
