ABOUT

Ngāti Kahungunu ki WairarapaTāmaki Nui-a-Rua Settlement Trust

The Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa – Tāmaki Nui ā Rua Settlement Trust was established in December 2010 following extensive consultation with iwi, hapū and marae. The trustees were elected by Ngā Hapū Karanga.

The purpose of Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa – Tāmaki Nui ā Rua Trust is to represent all Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Tāmaki Nui-a-Rua iwi members in negotiating the settlement of our Treaty of Waitangi grievances with the Crown. The Settlement Trust will receive and administer the assets for Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Tāmaki Nui-a-Rua upon completion of our settlement, and will take our people forward on our post-settlement journey. Their office is based in Masterton.

For more information on the settlement progress and information on the organisation, visit their Facebook page here.
